About Robovalve Technology
At the heart of the Robovalve concept is the idea that valve bodies can be designed to address specific applications, such as forward flow, bypass flow, & reverse flow. If the valve body alone can perform this function, then we have succeeded in eliminating unnecessary piping, welding, & complex valve clusters. This is the Robovalve concept. Invented in the early 1990s, the development of Robovalve was a direct response to industry demands to minimize the system volume and dead legs inside BioProcess purification systems. The technology is patented and offers truly a unique solution for piping systems plagued by the inefficiencies of standard shut-off valves.
Robovalves are installed in Biopharmaceutical companies around the world. Even though designing a system with multi-way, multi-connection valves requires a little extra thinking at the beginning, you can be sure that the final result will always be worth the effort. When combining Robovalve technology with Burkert's Process Valves and Block Valves we are able to offer System Designers the best possible solution to challenging fluid control applications.
The tables below provide an overview of the various applications and some of the Robovalves products they are typically used in.
