PawVC™

Material & Biocompatibility Testing Summary:

The material used to manufacture PawVC Tubing is a DEHP-free, bovine-free, Gamma radiation resistant, flexible PVC compound produced from FDA sanctioned ingredients. This material was developed for the extrusion of kink-resistant, sparkling clear medical tubing. PawVC™ Tubing has excellent heat stability and physical properties, and also very good low temperature flexibility and water-blush resistance. This compound has been designed to pass the USP Class VI and cytotoxicity requirements for biomedical devices.

PawVC™ tubing meets the following criteria and claims for use in BioProcess Applications. The BioProcess Systems Alliance, of which PAW is a member, has established a "Guidelines & Standard Committee" which outlines the typical requirements for tubing intended for use in bioprocess applications. PawVC tubing strives to meet these guidelines established under their document "Component Quality Test Matrices":

  • Animal derived component free (ADCF)
  • DEHP Pthalate Free
  • Gamma-Stable (50kGy)

PawVC™ Tubing complies with the following tests and claims. All tests were conducted on samples of tubing, post-irradiation.
